This morning's flying lesson was on precautionary search and landing. Basically if you need to land in a hurry (ie medical emergency, low fuel, problem with plane, poor visibility etc.) this is what you do. Did my lesson on steep turns, which included Ross demonstrating a couple of limit turns.  OMFG.  They're so awesome!!!

FYI, a climbing turn is done with an angle of bank of 15 degrees, descending turn is 20 degrees and level turn is 30 degrees.  These are good for when you have passengers who get airsick and for when you want to do things safely as ( Read more... )
